image.jpeg Working on the Savage XL today, noticed that the rear diff felt a bit Klunky. I decided to pull it out for the first time. Disassembled the rear, pulled out the diff. Spinning the pinion cup felt nice and smooth, but spinning one wheel did not. Decided to open the diff, this is where it all went wrong. I do not know what gorilla put the thing together, but using a screwdriver, I broke the head off of one of the screws. Next two I was able to break free. The forth one would not budge, I ended up rounding out the head, then had to drill out the head.

Once I got this far, I figured I might as well continue. Although the spider gears felt Klunky, they looked perfectly fine, looked brand new. Any thoughts on this anyone?

So I put it all back together, put the diff back in. Should hold together with two screws and a stub right???

At least I enjoyed making a skid plate.

I about stripped a screws trying to get them out on my diffs, I replaced the philips screws with allen to keep it from happening in the future
