I know there is a set of setup sheets for suspension, etc but I am curious how you can run electric competitively with nitro buggies. My LHS does not have an electric buggy class, and I am concerned about the process of swapping out batteries, etc.
Some background:
My LHS has a nice track, but an almost exclusively nitro crowd. The track is pretty technical, not a lot of high-speed runs, and several BIG jumps. Mains are either 15 or 25 mins and what I have been told is that the limited electric crowd prefers to run low kv motors - I want to say they mentioned 1400 or something really low like that - and 4S 35-40C batteries. I don't know what pinion they are running, but I can find out.
Since nitros can be refueled by the pit guys in less than 5-10 seconds, how would you be able to swap out a battery that fast? Anyone solve that problem?
Anyone have any other suggestions you can provide?
Thanks!
Bob
