    No more wheelies

Ok guys, i know it has been a while, but here is the final update with some very good news. So i changed the clutch shoes to these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHWJ3 I sealed the engine and then did a complete retune of the engine and tranny. The result: One very...

    No more wheelies

I purchased the Ofna Aluminum Clutch Shoes Blue CNC (3) from towerhobbies this morning so once i get those i'll be able to put everything back and finally run my savage again. Unfortunately non of my LHS had this or any of the other CB's in stock. I'll keep everyone posted, hopfully...

    No more wheelies

I spent a lot of time trying to retune the engine and it just never seemed to want to cooperate. The tuning would change very fast. So i suspect it might be caused by an air leak. So today i went out and got everything i need to seal the engine. I followed the instructions on this forums(made...

    No more wheelies

So i took 2 steps forward and 1 step back. In my previous video, then engine seems to be tuned fine, it was the tranny that was the problem. I followed all the suggestions given, and now the tranny shifts twice like it's supposed to. Now all of a sudden, it's like my engine is completely out of...

    No more wheelies

I'm using the stock clutch shoes with stock springs. The screw that I have tightened down all the way is the one that is accesible from the outside of tranny. I'll do some more testing tomorrow with your suggestions and I'll let you know what happens.

    No more wheelies

I've tightened 2-3 all the way..and 1-2 is 1 1/2 turns in from flush. Is it possible there is something wrong with the little spring and the ball on the actual gears. You know how if you take the tuning screw out there is a spring and a metal ball. Is it possible it's still changing 2-3 even...

Which ofna shoe do you use? My clutch shoe has about 3-4 tanks on it, i had already replaced it, but i used the stock ones again. Also, which diffs do you guys recommend. i'm going to take a look at them today, but i just want to know what is really good in case i need new ones.

    No more wheelies

Ok so i just took the savvy out for a run on a large flat dirt field. I had the 3rd gear screw tightened all the way so it doesn't shift. It takes about 50 feet for it to shift once. The 2nd gear screw is about 2 turns in from flush only.. I don't understand how it takes that long to...

    No more wheelies

Well it's possible, i've been trying to tune the tranny for a while now. With factory settings, i never heard the tranny shift, so i messed with the tuning little bit and i still didn't hear it shift. So i tightened the screw for 2-3 gear so it does not shift, and i turned the 1-2 gear screw so...

Yeah, the slipper is tight, i only loosen it less than a 1/4 of a turn. I've also tried holding the wheels down while turning the spur gear and it doesnt slip.

    No more wheelies

Hey guys, i can't get my savage 4.6 to do wheelies anymore. After i went from 17/47 cb and spur to 18/47, the truck wont do wheelies anymore. Does the 1 extra tooth on the cb make that big of a difference. I even have the 3 speed tranny with high speed 3rd gear. What are some other possibilities...
